This policy covers the Home Tutors? use of personal information that Home Tutors collects when you submit information on the online forms. By entering your details in the fields requested, you enable Home Tutors and to provide you with the services you select. When you supply any personal information to Home Tutors (e.g. on tutor registration form or Request A Tutor form) we have legal obligations towards you in the way we use those data. Client/ tutor information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without the consent of the client/ tutor, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested by the client/ tutor.

Private client information (credit cards, S.S. Numbers, financials, etc.) will not be kept on file for more than 60 days, unless you have registered as a tutor.

Any information you provide to Home Tutors will only be used by Home Tutors. Your information will be disclosed where we are obliged or permitted by law. Also, if you post or send offensive, inappropriate or objectionable content anywhere on or to HomeTutors.org.uk or otherwise engage in any disruptive behaviour on HomeTutors.org.uk, Home Tutors can use whatever information that is available to it about you to stop such behaviour. This may involve informing relevant third parties such as your employer, school e-mail/ Internet provider and law enforcement agencies about the content and your behaviour.

We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as you use the service you have requested, and remove it in the event that the purpose has been met, or, in the case of Tutor membership you no longer wish to continue your registration as a Tutor. We will ensure that all personal information supplied is held securely, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Clients/ tutors will not receive any continual email solicitation from Home Tutors, unless the client/ tutor consents to the solicitation at checkout, or through a double opt-in process. However, all clients/ tutors will have the option to unsubscribe, and the instruction to do so will be provided on every email.
